Book Review: Get Back Up by Sheryl Giesbrecht

Certainly, Christians are not exempt from struggles, trials, pain, and sufferings. Jesus said in John 16:33, " I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. " The author, Sheryl Giesbrecht, is no stranger to troubles. She openly shares from her own life's experiences from addiction, loneliness, challenges faced by being a pastor's wife, to difficulties and disappointments within churches, cancer, and death of her husband. She then shows readers how they can trust God to help them get back up after they fall. Each chapter starts with an incredible story of someone who survived a catastrophic free fall. I found these accounts very interesting. Get Back Up offers hope and encouragement. Included is a list of wonderful Scriptures that remind us who we are in Christ. I also like the thought-provoking Study Questions at the end of each chapter. Healing and restoration are

Book Review: Ephesians: Discovering Your Identity and Purpose in Christ

About the Discover Together series and Ephesians:  Women need Bible study to keep balanced, focused and Christ-centered in their busy worlds. However, many find it difficult to set aside the time and discipline needed for an in-depth study. The Discover Together studies offer tiered questions to allow readers to choose a depth of study that fits with their individual lifestyles or schedules, even if they vary by the week, month or season. This insightful Bible study uses the example of Paul's church in Ephesus to show readers how they can be victorious Christians, living in God's Word, and free from sin. Part of the discovery series, the Ephesians edition includes tips for either individual or group use, inspirational sidebars and short, 3-5 minute teaching videos. Scan the video QR code in the book with a smart phone or visit the series website to watch Sue provide historical and cultural background, teach important truths found in each week's lesson

In this DVD, Janet explains about microgravity (aka weightlessness or Zero-G). She also talks about the difference between mass and weight. You will see kids trying to describe microgravity and then you get to hear from an expert (scientist) what microgravity really is. The DVD also introduces famous scientists from the past such as Henr
