Film Review: Voiceless

Voiceless  (PG-13) is an excellent pro-life film presented with passion, compassion, and understanding. Jesse Dean (Rusty Joiner), a discharged war veteran, starts his new job as a community outreach leader at New Life Fellowship Church in Philadelphia. He notices there's an abortion clinic right across the street from the church. He knows he must take action to stop the ongoing killing in that clinic. Sadly, he receives opposition from community, church, and even his own wife, Julia (Jocelyn Cruz) who is afraid he may lose his job or get arrested. Both Jesse and Julia still wrestle with their past that keeps haunting them. Pastor Gil Solomon (James Russo) tries to protect the reputation of his church and chooses to turn the other way, avoiding the problem right outside the church's door. One man (Jesse) refuses to stay silent and do nothing. He chooses to do what he believes it's right, no matter what the consequences may be. His faith and courage are to be commended. ...

Book Review and Giveaway: I Am Found by Laura Dingman

My Review: I Am Found: Quitting the Game of Hide and Seek with God and Others  is a 6-week women's Bible study from Moody Publishers on shame, freedom, and identity. Deep down we know we can never hide from God but why do we still try to hide? The author wants to help women realize that they have no need to hide whatsoever and that they are made to live shame-free, grace-filled, authentic lives in Christ. You and I are fully found (known) by God and perfectly loved by Him. This truth alone is absolutely liberating and comforting! The book explores God's truths vs. Enemy's lies. It also includes practical steps to put into action what we learn from each lesson. Each week's lesson starts with an introduction and is followed by 5 daily sessions. Each day's session is sometimes divided into 4 sections: Listen, Linger, Learn, and Live. It always ends with Prayer for the Day. There's room for readers to write down their answers/thoughts. This Bible study cov...
