"I am the Vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing." (John 15:5) It is our desire to always abide in JESUS CHRIST, our Lord and Savior, and to bear much fruit...hence "Fruitbearers."
"The fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS, and SELF-CONTROL. Against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23

Movie Review and Giveaway: Show Me The Father
I'm so excited to share this post with you all. I have enjoyed watching all of the Kendrick brothers' movies (I've watched all except Overcomer) so far. Show Me The Father is their first documentary film and it did not disappoint me. It's a powerful and impactful documentary to say the least. Everyone has a father. Some enjoy a close, loving relationship with their fathers while others suffer from a distant, unhealthy relationship with their fathers. And then there are those who have never known or met their fathers. Show Me The Father includes five real-life fatherhood stories that cover a wide range of experiences. From brokenness and bitterness to forgiveness and restoration. You will hear from Jim Daly (the president of Focus on the Family), Sherman Smith (former Seattle Seahawks runningback and coach), Stephen Kendrick, Alex Kendrick, and Deland McCullough (former NFL player, coach, teacher and principal). In addition, Dr. Tony Evans (pastor and author) shares Biblical insights throughout the film. Alex and Stephen Kendrick shares about their own father and grandfather. What I love most about the movie is that the central theme and goal are to point viewers to our perfect Father in Heaven...to trust Him, imitate Him, and rely upon Him. All fathers can find some comfort and inspiration from this documentary. Even if you think you have failed as a father, it's never too late to turn to God and ask Him to help you be better. Even if you have/had bad fathers, you can become great, godly fathers with God's help, wisdom, and guidance. In Christ, there's hope, healing, and redemption.
Fatherlessness is a major problem in our society while fatherhood is being undermined in our culture. Show Me The Father helps us see the importance and the impact of fathers (& father figures) and behold the loving heart of our Abba Father. I was really touched by the film and yes, I was in tears. I related most to Jim Daly's father story because my dad was estranged, alcoholic, and abusive (physically, emotionally, and verbally) like his. This documentary is so needed in our time. It not only encourages and inspires but also challenges fathers to make a difference now which will cause a ripple effect for generations to come. It's a great reminder for us all to be mindful to leave a spiritual inheritance/legacy for our children and grandchildren and for the young people upon whom we may have influence. Show Me The Father will be in theaters on September 10th. I highly recommend this movie to all, especially fathers. I hope you'll go watch it and tell others about it.

A Mile in His Shoes is a family-friendly movie (PG) about a young man diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism) and how his God-given talent (his amazing throwing ability) helps him and others. It's about overcoming challenges in life. It is based on the book "The Legend of Mickey Tussler" (a true story). It's directed by William Dear, the director of "Angels In the Outfield." It stars Dean Cain who plays Arthur Murphy, a baseball coach and Luke Schroder who plays Mickey, the main character. Excellent performances! My family and I enjoyed this movie. It spoke to my heart deeply because one of my kids has symptoms that are similar to Asperger's Syndrome but the doctors diagnosed him with anxiety disorder, instead. My son is very athletic and great with numbers like Mickey. He is also sensitive to noise and crowds like Mickey. When Coach Murphy sees Mickey (a farmer boy) throw apples at a bucket for his pigs, he knows that he has just fo...
