Certainly, Christians are not exempt from struggles, trials, pain, and sufferings. Jesus said in John 16:33, " I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. " The author, Sheryl Giesbrecht, is no stranger to troubles. She openly shares from her own life's experiences from addiction, loneliness, challenges faced by being a pastor's wife, to difficulties and disappointments within churches, cancer, and death of her husband. She then shows readers how they can trust God to help them get back up after they fall. Each chapter starts with an incredible story of someone who survived a catastrophic free fall. I found these accounts very interesting. Get Back Up offers hope and encouragement. Included is a list of wonderful Scriptures that remind us who we are in Christ. I also like the thought-provoking Study Questions at the end of each chapter. Healing and restoration are
