Review and Giveaway: FoundIt

Kids often lose stuff. Well, some adults do, too :). FoundIt is a company that makes it easy for people to return your lost items while keeping your family's identity safe, eliminating the replacement costs, and minimizing the emotinal pain. When someone finds your child's lost favorite toy, electronic device, sports equipment, etc., that person can text your ID number to FoundIt or enter the ID number on its website and then FoundIt will contact you with the finder's contact info--keeping your family's and child's identity safe. I received a free MacDaddy package to test out. It includes
  • Set of 62 stickers
  • 2 key tags
  • 3 bag tags
  • 1 luggage tag/ID card
  • 2 round tags (great pet tags!)
  • Four years access to the FoundIt Network
Read on....to find out how to enter a giveaway to win one free MacDaddy package (valued at $24.99).

How FoundIt Works
Our research shows that children are more likely to lose something when their routine is changed, and we all know that back-to-school is just around the corner.

FoundIt helps give parents and kids the peace of mind that if they lose that new computer, backpack, lunchbox, or sports bag, they have a MUCH better chance of getting it back. When you sign up at FoundIt.com, you will receive a unique ID number and all the stickers and tags contain that number. When someone find your lost item, he/she can report to FoundIt with the ID number and FoundIt will send you a text on your phone or an email.

I really like the concept. I don't like to give my private information out unless necessary but at the same time, I'd like to be able to get back what I lose/misplace. My 18 year old daughter will be leaving on her mission trip to Malaysia this Wednesday. We put FoundIt stickers on important stuff like her cell phone, camera, MP3 player, glasses case, wallet, etc. and used the tags on her luggage. I also attached tags to my key chain and my husband's key chain. Since we don't have a pet, we used the 2 round tags on my purse and my daughter's purse. You can stick those stickers on your phone, laptop, camera, flash drives, portfolios, notebooks, whatever is important enough that you would miss it and want it back if you lost it. It's better to be safe than sorry :). Label with FoundIt! The only thing I don't like about some of the tags is that they mention about earning good karma if the person returns the item to its owner. I don't believe in karma and people should be kind without expecting anything in return anyway in my opinion. What happened to "Do what's right because it's the right thing to do"?

About the series: The series is inspired by Janette Oke’s bestselling book series about the Canadian West. “When Calls the Heart” tells the captivating story of Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young teacher accustomed to her high society life, who receives her first classroom assignment in Coal Valley, a small coalmining town where life is simple, but often fraught with challenges. Lori Loughlin plays Abigail Stanton, a wife and mother whose husband, the foreman of the mine, along with a dozen other miners, has just been killed in an explosion. The newly widowed women find their faith is tested when they must go to work in the mines to keep a roof over their heads. Elizabeth charms most everyone in Coal Valley, except Constable Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) who believes Thatcher’s wealthy

DVD Review and Giveaway: A Mile in His Shoes

A Mile in His Shoes is a family-friendly movie (PG) about a young man diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism) and how his God-given talent (his amazing throwing ability) helps him and others. It's about overcoming challenges in life. It is based on the book "The Legend of Mickey Tussler" (a true story). It's directed by William Dear, the director of "Angels In the Outfield." It stars Dean Cain who plays Arthur Murphy, a baseball coach and Luke Schroder who plays Mickey, the main character. Excellent performances! My family and I enjoyed this movie. It spoke to my heart deeply because one of my kids has symptoms that are similar to Asperger's Syndrome but the doctors diagnosed him with anxiety disorder, instead. My son is very athletic and great with numbers like Mickey. He is also sensitive to noise and crowds like Mickey. When Coach Murphy sees Mickey (a farmer boy) throw apples at a bucket for his pigs, he knows that he has just fo
