Ultimate Blog Party 2012

Ultimate Blog Party 2012
Welcome to my family/homeschool-related blog! My name is Urailak (aka "LivingforGod" around bloggyworld and "Fruit Bearer" on Facebook). I have been blissfully married to my beloved Godly husband for over 20 years. We have three children (18 yo daughter, 13 yo son, and 10 yo son). Our daughter, Alyssa, is a freelance writer whose work has been published by various online and print publications. Her short story e-book, Deadly Delirium, was released by the Euterpe Imprint of Musa Publishing on February 24, 2012.  Our 13 yo son has anxiety disorder but thanks be to God, he is doing quite well. Our 10 yo son is participating in Steps for Life (an annual fund-raising event for Pregnancy Resource Centers). You can visit his personal fund-raising webpage here. Our family loves God and desires to be used by Him for His glory and His kingdom. We enjoy hosting a weekly dinner and Bible study for the international students who attend a local university. The name of our fellowship is "LJ Fellowship" which stands for Loving Jesus or Love in Jesus or Loving J.O.Y. (Jesus Others You).

I have been blogging since 2006 (previously at homeschoolblogger.com). I also do product reviews and giveaways on my blogs. My main blog is "Living for God" and I also have a photo blog. My Facebook page is Christ Alone. Please stop by and visit when you get a chance :).

Currently, I'm hosting three different giveaways:

Additionally, another parent with a small child and dog are seen standing in the path of traffic. See video: LINK   • George Washington U grads storm out of graduation ceremony in anti-Israel protest: Dozens of George Washington University graduates walked out of commencement ceremonies on Sunday, disrupting university President Ellen Granberg's speech, in protest over the ongoing war in Gaza and last week's clearing of an on-campus protest encampment that invo...

DVD Review and Giveaway: A Mile in His Shoes

A Mile in His Shoes is a family-friendly movie (PG) about a young man diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism) and how his God-given talent (his amazing throwing ability) helps him and others. It's about overcoming challenges in life. It is based on the book "The Legend of Mickey Tussler" (a true story). It's directed by William Dear, the director of "Angels In the Outfield." It stars Dean Cain who plays Arthur Murphy, a baseball coach and Luke Schroder who plays Mickey, the main character. Excellent performances! My family and I enjoyed this movie. It spoke to my heart deeply because one of my kids has symptoms that are similar to Asperger's Syndrome but the doctors diagnosed him with anxiety disorder, instead. My son is very athletic and great with numbers like Mickey. He is also sensitive to noise and crowds like Mickey. When Coach Murphy sees Mickey (a farmer boy) throw apples at a bucket for his pigs, he knows that he has just fo...
