Review: Sue Hooley's 2015 Daily Planner

Meet Sue Hooley:
The Daily Planner was designed by Sue, wife of Dan for 24 years and mother to six lovely children, two girls and four boys ages 5-21. The planner was developed after several years of motherhood and homemaking. Sue understood that a homemaker's day can rarely be scheduled and structured the same as the one before – not every task can fit neatly into the time-slot allotted by other planners. Since her first publication in 2010, thousands of homemakers have benefited from the daily planner.

My Review:
I've been given Sue Hooley's 2014 and 2015 Daily Planners to review. I've enjoyed using the 2014 one. I am so thankful for these planners. Can't wait to start a brand new year with the beautiful 2015 Daily Planner! As you can see in the top picture, the front cover is bright and cheery with the photo of black-eyed susans. The planner is perfect for busy homemakers who have to juggle many responsibilities and activities. It helps me be more focused and organized. I know myself that I can no longer just rely on my memory :). The planner consists of 7 sections: yearly calendar, monthly calendar, weekly planning, tasks list, projects & events, information, and shopping lists. For homeschool moms (or dads), you can use this planner to write down your homeschool schedule, too. There's plenty of space for writing notes. The 2015 Daily Planner also includes 2 additional months (December 2014 and January 2016) to simplify the transition.

What makes the planner very special to me is all the Bible verses which are God's promises and all the insightful, inspirational quotes that scatter throughout the planner. They are so uplifting and encouraging. I highly recommend this delightful Daily Planner! It will make your life easier and help you manage your time better (more efficiently). Wondering what to get for your relatives or friends who are homemakers this Christmas? Look no further; this planner would make an excellent gift :)!

Comments

  1. I love using a planner; I am not a home-schooling mom or a mom with littles at home to juggle from place to place; but I find as a retired "Caregiver" to my hubby I need to keep up with appointments, dr. visits, deadlines, b'days and anniversaries, etc. And I love using a colorful planner to do that! I have already bought a "calendar" with day and month pages that usually works for most things...but I would definitely use one of these types of planners!! Oh, and I love the colorful background on your blog!!

About the series: The series is inspired by Janette Oke’s bestselling book series about the Canadian West. “When Calls the Heart” tells the captivating story of Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young teacher accustomed to her high society life, who receives her first classroom assignment in Coal Valley, a small coalmining town where life is simple, but often fraught with challenges. Lori Loughlin plays Abigail Stanton, a wife and mother whose husband, the foreman of the mine, along with a dozen other miners, has just been killed in an explosion. The newly widowed women find their faith is tested when they must go to work in the mines to keep a roof over their heads. Elizabeth charms most everyone in Coal Valley, except Constable Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) who believes Thatcher’s wealthy

DVD Review and Giveaway: A Mile in His Shoes

A Mile in His Shoes is a family-friendly movie (PG) about a young man diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism) and how his God-given talent (his amazing throwing ability) helps him and others. It's about overcoming challenges in life. It is based on the book "The Legend of Mickey Tussler" (a true story). It's directed by William Dear, the director of "Angels In the Outfield." It stars Dean Cain who plays Arthur Murphy, a baseball coach and Luke Schroder who plays Mickey, the main character. Excellent performances! My family and I enjoyed this movie. It spoke to my heart deeply because one of my kids has symptoms that are similar to Asperger's Syndrome but the doctors diagnosed him with anxiety disorder, instead. My son is very athletic and great with numbers like Mickey. He is also sensitive to noise and crowds like Mickey. When Coach Murphy sees Mickey (a farmer boy) throw apples at a bucket for his pigs, he knows that he has just fo
