Operation Blessing is a nonprofit, Christian organization/ministry that shares God's love through their humanitarian outreaches in the United States and around the world. They provide clean water, nourishing food, medical care, life-changing surgeries, disaster relief, orphan care, and community development to those in need. For over four decades, Operation Blessing has been helping alleviate human suffering in every state and over 90 nations. I love their slogan: "Live Your Faith, Bless the Poor". They offer this wonderful cookbook filled with culinary delights from different cultures.
Operation Blessing Recipes from Around the World includes 34 recipes of delicious dishes commonly found in various countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, China, the Philippines, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Israel, Kenya, Mexico, Peru, and the United States. The recipes range from breakfast, side dishes, main dishes, to breads & desserts and drinks. It also includes 10 inspiring stories from people in different countries sharing how Operation Blessing (through the support of faithful donors) helped impact their lives and improve their situations. There are color photos of the dishes throughout the book. They all look delectable. I tried out 3 recipes: Cold Milk Rice with Mango and Berries (from Guatemala), Baleadas (from Honduras), and Aguachile (from Mexico). I was pleased with all three; they were easy to make and turned out tasty. I'm looking forward to trying out more yummy recipes from this cookbook.
