Review: Butterfly Box

Wouldn't it be fun to receive a box filled with wonderful surprises that will lift up your soul and draw your heart closer to God and His Word? Butterfly Box is a monthly subscription designed to help Christian women transform their faith, renew their spirit, and pursue Jesus. Each month a theme box is thoughtfully put together to help you find quiet time to spend with God and focus on your spiritual growth and well-being. Each month's box reflects a Biblical theme and contains 4 to 6 items such as inspiring books, devotionals, or journals, decors, artwork, jewelry, personal care items (ex: soaps, lotion, candles, etc.), faith sharing cards and other theme-related gifts carefully chosen. Products selected are faith-based or support small Christian businesses.

I was so excited when I received my October prayer-themed box for review. Everything is so beautiful and meaningful. The box includes Weekly Prayer Guide, The Power of a Praying Woman by Stormie Omartian, Be Still and Know Journal, Butterfly Prayer Bracelet, Vanilla White & Sweet Peppermint Tea Drops. I love every item. I am familiar with Stormie Omartian books. I enjoy Bible-journaling and Psalm 46:10 is one of my favorite Bible verses. The Butterfly Prayer Bracelet is a reminder to pray for joy: "Today, I pray for abundant joy... Lord, may I be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer." Romans 12:12 is another one of my favorites. I had never heard of tea drops before. They are organic, tasty, soothing, and easy to make. My husband and I are now hooked and plan to order various flavors for ourselves soon. I highly recommend Butterfly Box. Consider giving it as a gift to others or to yourselves. Christmas is coming soon.

DVD Review and Giveaway: A Mile in His Shoes

A Mile in His Shoes is a family-friendly movie (PG) about a young man diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism) and how his God-given talent (his amazing throwing ability) helps him and others. It's about overcoming challenges in life. It is based on the book "The Legend of Mickey Tussler" (a true story). It's directed by William Dear, the director of "Angels In the Outfield." It stars Dean Cain who plays Arthur Murphy, a baseball coach and Luke Schroder who plays Mickey, the main character. Excellent performances! My family and I enjoyed this movie. It spoke to my heart deeply because one of my kids has symptoms that are similar to Asperger's Syndrome but the doctors diagnosed him with anxiety disorder, instead. My son is very athletic and great with numbers like Mickey. He is also sensitive to noise and crowds like Mickey. When Coach Murphy sees Mickey (a farmer boy) throw apples at a bucket for his pigs, he knows that he has just fo...
