Movie Review and Giveaway: American Underdog

American Underdog is an inspirational film that tells the true story of Kurt Warner (played by Zachari Levi). He's an American underdog who went from a stockboy at a grocery store (in order to barely make ends meet) to a two-time NFL MVP, Super Bowl champion, and Hall of Fame quarterback. It's not only a wonderful Cinderella story of overcoming obstacles and setbacks before the dreams come true, but also a beautiful love story of Kurt and his wife, Brenda (played by Anna Paquin). I have a soft spot for all romantic love stories. Even though I am not a football fan, I really enjoyed the movie and definitely recommend it to all, especially football fans :). I love Zack (Brenda's son from a previous marriage) who is blind but lives joyfully, defying all the odds. The relationship between Kurt and Zack are priceless. Behind every great man is his team of people who support him, encourage him, believe in him, and pray for him. American Underdog demonstrates that in spite of disappointment, breakup, and tragedy, you can still find courage, sacrifice, and hope. The movie also includes outstanding music.

This uplifting movie is not made to show a football player's ambition and success but to show that faith, family, and friends are more important than football, that determination and perseverance are needed to succeed, and that a true champion is someone whose life wins the hearts of others off the field, not just on the field.

The movie is rated PG. It will be in theaters everywhere on Christmas Day. You can buy tickets now at American Underdog | Official Website | December 25 2021 .

DVD Review and Giveaway: A Mile in His Shoes

A Mile in His Shoes is a family-friendly movie (PG) about a young man diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism) and how his God-given talent (his amazing throwing ability) helps him and others. It's about overcoming challenges in life. It is based on the book "The Legend of Mickey Tussler" (a true story). It's directed by William Dear, the director of "Angels In the Outfield." It stars Dean Cain who plays Arthur Murphy, a baseball coach and Luke Schroder who plays Mickey, the main character. Excellent performances! My family and I enjoyed this movie. It spoke to my heart deeply because one of my kids has symptoms that are similar to Asperger's Syndrome but the doctors diagnosed him with anxiety disorder, instead. My son is very athletic and great with numbers like Mickey. He is also sensitive to noise and crowds like Mickey. When Coach Murphy sees Mickey (a farmer boy) throw apples at a bucket for his pigs, he knows that he has just fo
