Film Review: The Case for Heaven Plus a 3-Month Pure Flix Subscription Giveaway

The Case for Heaven is a new documentary by Mani Sandoval on Pure Flix based on the new book by best-selling author Lee Strobel (former atheist turned Christian apologist), who wrote The Case for Christ and The Case for Faith. We all are curious more or less regarding what happens after we die. One of human's biggest fears in all cultures is death. God originally made humans to live forever with Him in Heaven; that's why deep down we all long for immortality. God "has put eternity into man's heart" (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

The documentary is inspired by true life events and presents many different interviews with people from various backgrounds including Lee Strobel, Leslie Strobel (Lee Strobel's wife), Clay Jones, Dr. Sharon Dirckx, John Burke (author of Imagine Heaven), Francis Chan (author, pastor), the late Evangelist Luis Palau, Pat Palau (Luis Palau's wife), Andrew Palau, Steve Caballero (pro skateboarder), Jon Steingard (former Hawk Nelson singer), Howard Storm, Eric Owyoung (producer and composer), and more. I personally do not need extra evidence to convince me that Heaven is real and more marvelous than our ability (finite mind) to imagine; what God's Word says about Heaven (knowing that I get to spend eternity with Him) is enough for me. Even so, the film touched me and made me cry. The Case for Heaven investigates and explores the truths about soul, God, Heaven and Hell, near-death experiences, and Satan. In my opinion, personal experiences are personal, not to be taken as Biblical. Ultimately, we are to live by faith and die by faith in Jesus Christ alone. I encourage y'all to watch The Case for Heaven on Pure Flix and seriously consider your destiny after death. All I can say is this: Do not leave this earth without Christ/without trusting Him as your personal Lord and Savior. The film is captivating, inspiring, and thought-provoking.

"Keep seeking; the truth is out there." (Lee Strobel, when asked what his younger self would have liked to say to him).

  1. I have not had a near death experience myself but one of my friends named Bill did. He had a cardiac event and was at the gates of heaven. He was revived and brought back to life. The experience was something that impacted his life in a huge way for God’s kingdom.
12 years ago I had a miscarriage and my husband and I were beyond heartbroken after praying for a baby for over 4 years. My next door neighbor left on my door steps a bag of cherries (my favorite 🍒😊) and the “Heaven is for Real” book. I devoured that book in a couple of hours and it was exactly what my heart needed to hear about heaven at that time.

DVD Review and Giveaway: A Mile in His Shoes

A Mile in His Shoes is a family-friendly movie (PG) about a young man diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism) and how his God-given talent (his amazing throwing ability) helps him and others. It's about overcoming challenges in life. It is based on the book "The Legend of Mickey Tussler" (a true story). It's directed by William Dear, the director of "Angels In the Outfield." It stars Dean Cain who plays Arthur Murphy, a baseball coach and Luke Schroder who plays Mickey, the main character. Excellent performances! My family and I enjoyed this movie. It spoke to my heart deeply because one of my kids has symptoms that are similar to Asperger's Syndrome but the doctors diagnosed him with anxiety disorder, instead. My son is very athletic and great with numbers like Mickey. He is also sensitive to noise and crowds like Mickey. When Coach Murphy sees Mickey (a farmer boy) throw apples at a bucket for his pigs, he knows that he has just fo
