Review and Giveaway: Anchored Press Daily Planner

My Review:
I'm a perpetual planner-want-to-be :). I was excited to receive this Daily Planner from Anchored Press! It's a planner, devotional, prayer journal, meal planning, and memory-keeping put together in one sturdy, classy notebook. It's not your ordinary planner. This one is beautiful and meaningful. Spending time with God daily is very important to me. I'm glad to see that the Anchored Press's owner and planner's creator, Deana, feels the same. She created this planner to help women get anchored in God's Word and stay organized. This Daily Planner will help you be intentional about managing your time. The planner includes a Family Memory Making page, Family Go-To Dinners page, and Family Goals page. Each month starts with an insightful quote and ends with a Prayer Requests & Notes page. Daily page has an hourly scheduler from 6 am to 8 pm, My First Four (top 4 things to do), What's For Dinner?, Bible verses, short devotions, and an area for writing down your prayer list & thoughts. You will also find a mid-week prayer for your children and a weekly spot for jotting down how God blesses you each week (I really like this feature because I myself keep a thankful journal). I've enjoyed using this fantastic planner and I highly recommend it.

The 2017 daily planners will be released late August and there will be an expanded product line (2 formats, more color options and a separate prayer journal).  One of the planners has 52 devotionals, 1 for each week written by some amazing women of God such as Christine Caine and Jenni Catron! By the way, the current 2016 planners are 40% off which is a great deal because there are still 6 months left in the year to enjoy them.

DVD Review and Giveaway: A Mile in His Shoes

A Mile in His Shoes is a family-friendly movie (PG) about a young man diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism) and how his God-given talent (his amazing throwing ability) helps him and others. It's about overcoming challenges in life. It is based on the book "The Legend of Mickey Tussler" (a true story). It's directed by William Dear, the director of "Angels In the Outfield." It stars Dean Cain who plays Arthur Murphy, a baseball coach and Luke Schroder who plays Mickey, the main character. Excellent performances! My family and I enjoyed this movie. It spoke to my heart deeply because one of my kids has symptoms that are similar to Asperger's Syndrome but the doctors diagnosed him with anxiety disorder, instead. My son is very athletic and great with numbers like Mickey. He is also sensitive to noise and crowds like Mickey. When Coach Murphy sees Mickey (a farmer boy) throw apples at a bucket for his pigs, he knows that he has just fo
