Review: King James Study Bible Full Color Edition

I was so thrilled when I received this King James Study Bible for review. It is beautiful inside and outside. I am studying Colossians and I really value the extensive commentary that helps me understand in depth what I read. This Bible features comprehensive book introductions and outlines, insightful background information, doctrinal footnotes, personality profiles, and archaeological sites. It definitely enriches and excites my digging into God's Word. This study Bible also includes center-column references with notes, easy-to-navigate topical indexes, and word-study concordance. Some wonderful examples of indexes are Prophecies of the Messiah Fulfilled in Christ (presented here in their order of fulfillment), End Times Prophecy, Prayers of the Bible, and the Jewish Calendar. You will also find "How To Study the Bible" (which covers personal Bible study, family Bible study, and principles of Bible interpretation) and "God's Answers to Our Concerns" (Bible references for various topics).

This Bible is visually pleasing, filled with hundreds of colorful photos (of Holy Land, classic art works, etc.), maps, and charts. My old eyesight truly appreciates the easy-to-read 10-pt type large print. I highly recommend this study Bible to anyone who desires to grow deeper in your understanding of God's Word. It is now one of my favorite Bibles that I have owned.

DVD Review and Giveaway: A Mile in His Shoes

A Mile in His Shoes is a family-friendly movie (PG) about a young man diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism) and how his God-given talent (his amazing throwing ability) helps him and others. It's about overcoming challenges in life. It is based on the book "The Legend of Mickey Tussler" (a true story). It's directed by William Dear, the director of "Angels In the Outfield." It stars Dean Cain who plays Arthur Murphy, a baseball coach and Luke Schroder who plays Mickey, the main character. Excellent performances! My family and I enjoyed this movie. It spoke to my heart deeply because one of my kids has symptoms that are similar to Asperger's Syndrome but the doctors diagnosed him with anxiety disorder, instead. My son is very athletic and great with numbers like Mickey. He is also sensitive to noise and crowds like Mickey. When Coach Murphy sees Mickey (a farmer boy) throw apples at a bucket for his pigs, he knows that he has just fo
