Review and Giveaway: KJV Bibles

Update: The giveaway is now over. Congratulations to Anita Braden! She has been notified.

Did you know that KJV is one of the most trusted translations of the Bible and also one of the most purchased ever? For over 400 years, the King James Version has been the most popular translation. It captures the beauty and majesty of God's Word with rich and reverent language. You can see the great selection of Bibles available now (and many on sale) at www.thekingjamesBible.comWhether you’re looking for a Christian devotional Bible, a great resource for your Bible studies or a study Bible for women, men or students, KJV Bibles by Holman helps you deepen your relationship with God. Be sure to enter for your chance to win one (see the giveaway details below). There are so many different styles with different tools for different purposes. Check out "Find Your KJV Bible Tool" to find what you are looking for and find limited time offers with up to 50% off.

I received one KJV Study Bible, one KJV Ultrathin Reference Bible, and one KJV Kids Bible to review. All three are excellent. The KJV Study Bible includes 123 color photos, 58 maps, 19 illustrations, 19 charts, and 60 timelines. I'm a visual learner; therefore, I really appreciate these features. It also includes over 16,000 study notes, making this Bible an ideal resource for Bible studies. If you prefer a more compact, easy-to-carry Bible, you will appreciate the KJV Ultrathin Reference Bible. It may seem small but it still has all the useful features such as center-column cross references, Smyth-sewn binding, words of Christ in red, 8.5-point type, concordance, full-color maps, and more. I love the KJV One Big Story Bible. There are so many cool features that help bring the Bible to life for kids. Special features include full page color illustrations, Christ Connections, 100 Verses to Memorize, Big Words (with descriptions and illustrations), Big Questions/Big Answers, and Seeing the Big Picture. You and your kids can enjoy interactive Bible by downloading the free Digital Pop-Ups app from B&H Kids. I'm looking forward to using this Kids Bible in my Kindergarten class next school year. #KJVBibleL3

About the series: The series is inspired by Janette Oke’s bestselling book series about the Canadian West. “When Calls the Heart” tells the captivating story of Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young teacher accustomed to her high society life, who receives her first classroom assignment in Coal Valley, a small coalmining town where life is simple, but often fraught with challenges. Lori Loughlin plays Abigail Stanton, a wife and mother whose husband, the foreman of the mine, along with a dozen other miners, has just been killed in an explosion. DVD Review and Giveaway: A Mile in His Shoes

A Mile in His Shoes is a family-friendly movie (PG) about a young man diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism) and how his God-given talent (his amazing throwing ability) helps him and others. It's about overcoming challenges in life. It is based on the book "The Legend of Mickey Tussler" (a true story). It's directed by William Dear, the director of "Angels In the Outfield." It stars Dean Cain who plays Arthur Murphy, a baseball coach and Luke Schroder who plays Mickey, the main character. Excellent performances! My family and I enjoyed this movie. It spoke to my heart deeply because one of my kids has symptoms that are similar to Asperger's Syndrome but the doctors diagnosed him with anxiety disorder, instead. My son is very athletic and great with numbers like Mickey. He is also sensitive to noise and crowds like Mickey. When Coach Murphy sees Mickey (a farmer boy) throw apples at a bucket for his pigs, he knows that he has just fo
