Review: Emily Lex Watercolor Package and Classes

I think this is my favorite review so far and I have done reviews for over 12 years now. I received a watercolor package from Emily Lex and an access to her online watercolor classes for this review. Wow...what an awesome and generous offer! The two watercolor workbooks (animals and flowers) include her sketch drawings on high-quality paper ready to be painted. The animals workbook has dogs, cats, butterfly, goldfish, whale, bird, bunny, frog, deer, and duck. The flowers workbook has hydrangea, peony, sunflower, pansy, anemone, daisies, rose, tulips, bouquet, and wreath. I love the two sets of  31 illustrated Scripture cards (one of them made specifically for kids) The package even included a brass stand for displaying these cards. They make great encouragement cards for children, spouses, families, colleagues, and friends. I've put some here and there and hung some up in our bathroom as reminders of God's faithfulness and promises.

Emily Lex is a gifted artist and teacher. She produces gorgeous watercolor art and teaches online classes. I was sick so I have not had time to take all the lessons yet. There are 16 Simplified Watercolor lessons, 14 Simplified Penmanship lessons, and 13 Watercolor for Kids lessons. I am not good at art but I have enjoyed learning from the videos and playing around with watercolor painting, lettering, and bordering. It's fun and relaxing. Emily Lex shows you everything you need to know about watercolor painting and penmanship from lists of supplies, techniques, to several fun projects. On the Watercolor for Kids videos, two of Emily's kids join her in creating beautiful art. Emily's voice is pleasant and she patiently and gently guides you with easy-to-understand step by step clear instructions and helpful tips. I highly recommend Emily Lex's awesome classes and products. Below are what I have attempted so far :).

DVD Review and Giveaway: A Mile in His Shoes

A Mile in His Shoes is a family-friendly movie (PG) about a young man diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism) and how his God-given talent (his amazing throwing ability) helps him and others. It's about overcoming challenges in life. It is based on the book "The Legend of Mickey Tussler" (a true story). It's directed by William Dear, the director of "Angels In the Outfield." It stars Dean Cain who plays Arthur Murphy, a baseball coach and Luke Schroder who plays Mickey, the main character. Excellent performances! My family and I enjoyed this movie. It spoke to my heart deeply because one of my kids has symptoms that are similar to Asperger's Syndrome but the doctors diagnosed him with anxiety disorder, instead. My son is very athletic and great with numbers like Mickey. He is also sensitive to noise and crowds like Mickey. When Coach Murphy sees Mickey (a farmer boy) throw apples at a bucket for his pigs, he knows that he has just fo
