At VBS, we learned some new songs. We also learned sign language that accompanied the songs. I really enjoy doing sign language while singing worship songs. Such a beautiful combination! My favorite song from VBS this year is "Jesus, Be the Centre" (written by Michael Frye). These are the words that really touch me:
Jesus, be the center
Be my source
Be my light, Jesus
Jesus, be the center
Be my hope
Be my song, Jesus
Be the fire in my heart
Be the wind in these sails
Be the reason that I live, Jesus…Jesus
O Jesus, be my vision
Be my path
Be my guide, Jesus
"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20
Jesus, please always be the center of my life! I want none of me and all of You. I need You, Lord!
I hope and pray that I will never lose Christ-centered focus! "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2 "When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, ‘I am the Light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’" John 8:12 He is my Guiding Light!
